Facility Information - Civilian Personnel Records
The Facility is a near-square building that covers almost seven acres, and contains storage capacity for over 2 million cubic feet of records in its 2 floors. It has the approximate space of 8 football fields in length, and if all the personnel records contained in the facility were placed end to end, the records would go from St. Louis to New York and back over eight times.
CPR staff normally responds to more than 275,000 inquiries yearly, with the majority of the reference services provided to other federal agencies.
Intrusion alarms, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and pest control help ensure that the records will be well protected. A public telephone is available and there is ample free parking. The building is wheelchair accessible.
