In the state of West Virginia, there are about
375,400
adults 18 and over who experience disability, representing 25.8% of the
population. 24.2% or 187,698 are women, and 27.6% or 187,702 are men.

report disability; for those age 45-64, the rate increases to 29.4%, and those
65 and over, 39.9% report disability.

report excellent or very good health, while 21.4% of people with disabilities
report excellent or very good health. 32.1% of people without disability report
good health, compared to 27.0% of people with disabilities, and 12.7% of people

disability.

report smoking, compared 36.2% or people with disabilities. Obesity 23.4% of
people without disabilities report obesity, compared to 34.3% people with

physical inactivity compared to 31.1% or people with disabilities.

have gotten a flu immunization in the past year, compared to 35.7% or people
with disability. Pneumonia (ever). 20.1% of people without disability have ever
received a pneumonia shot, compared to 31.4% of people with disability.

64.5% of
those with disability. Among those aged 45 to 64, 84.8% of those without a
disability have health care coverage, compared to 85.2% of those with a
disability.

44, 66.5% of people without disability have a continuous health care provider,
compared to 73.1% for those with a disability. For those aged 45-64, 82.9% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
87.6% of those with a disability, and for those aged 65 and older, 91.3% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
94.2% of those with a disability.
