In the state of Oregon, there are about
632,851
adults 18 and over who experience disability, representing 23.7% of the
population. 23.8% or 331,073 are women, and 23.7% or 301,778 are men.

report disability; for those age 45-64, the rate increases to 31.3%, and those
65 and over, 37.7% report disability.

among Hispanics is not applicable; the rate of disability among Asian or Native
Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander is not applicable. Not applicable for Native
Americans report disability, and not applicable for Black Non-Hispanics report
disability. For White, non-Hispanics the rate of disability is 24.5%.

report excellent or very good health, while 32.6% of people with disabilities
report excellent or very good health. 29.5% of people without disability report
good health, compared to 32.3% of people with disabilities, and 8.2% of people
without disability report fair/poor health compared to 35.2% among those with
disability.

report smoking, compared 27.3% or people with disabilities. Obesity 17.9% of
people without disabilities report obesity, compared to 30.1% people with
disability. Physical Inactivity. 9.4% of people without disability report
physical inactivity compared to 16.5% or people with disabilities.
Figure 4b. Immunizations. Flu (past year). 30.6% of people without disabilities
have gotten a flu immunization in the past year, compared to 39.1% or people
with disability. Pneumonia (ever). 24.0% of people without disability have ever
received a pneumonia shot, compared to 36.1% of people with disability.
Figure 4c. Health Coverage-Adults Under Age 65. Among people aged 18 to 44, 76.5% of those without disability have health care coverage compared to 73.8% of
those with disability. Among those aged 45 to 64, 87.6% of those without a
disability have health care coverage, compared to 86.3% of those with a
disability.

44, 67.3% of people without disability have a continuous health care provider,
compared to 74.4% for those with a disability. For those aged 45-64, 83.5% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
88.8% of those with a disability, and for those aged 65 and older, 92.2% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
96.3% of those with a disability.
