In the state of Minnesota, there are about
794,423
adults 18 and over who experience disability, representing 21.4% of the
population. 22.3% or 429,345 are women, and 20.6% or 365,078 are men.

report disability; for those age 45-64, the rate increases to 25.7%, and those
65 and over, 33.7% report disability.

among Hispanics is not applicable; the rate of disability among Asian or Native
Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander is 41.0%. Not applicable for Native

disability. For White, non-Hispanics the rate of disability is 21.1%.

report smoking, compared 27.2% or people with disabilities. Obesity 18.8% of
people without disabilities report obesity, compared to 30.4% people with

physical inactivity compared to 13.9% or people with disabilities.
Figure 4b. Immunizations. Flu (past year). 18.4% of people without disabilities
have gotten a flu immunization in the past year, compared to 27.1% or people
with disability. Pneumonia (ever). 34.8% of people without disability have ever
received a pneumonia shot, compared to 39.8% of people with disability.
Figure 4c. Health Coverage-Adults Under Age 65. Among people aged 18 to 44,
90.9% of those without disability have health care coverage compared to 90.7% of
those with disability. Among those aged 45 to 64, 95.8% of those without a
disability have health care coverage, compared to 96.4% of those with a
disability.

44, 66.0% of people without disability have a continuous health care provider,
compared to 78.2% for those with a disability. For those aged 45-64, 82.2% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
85.1% of those with a disability, and for those aged 65 and older, 88.4% of
people without a disability report continuous health care provider, compared to
93.7% of those with a disability.
