mapIf you like to swim, boat, fish, hike, or enjoy being close to town, then Anvil Lake is the place for you. The lake has extremely clear water and very good fishing. Located in the campground is a 300-year-old white pine that got its start not long after the Pilgrims landed. A log shelter with picnic tables adds to the rustic character of this campground. The Anvil National Recreation Trail system is adjacent to the campground. You can also hike six miles and connect with Franklin Lake Campground.
