Mental Health QUERI Coordinating Center

Mental Health QUERI Coordinating Center The Mental Health QUERI Coordinating Center is located at the North Little Rock campus of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. It is part of the Center for Mental Healthcare and Outcomes Research (CeMHOR), a VA Health Services Research and Development Center. The Clinical Coordinators' Offices are located at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California. The Mental Health QUERI Coordinating Center:

  • Carries out the Mental Health QUERI strategic plan
  • Promotes research to systematically implement research findings into better health care practices and better health outcomes for veterans.
  • Monitors variation in practice patterns for major depressive disorder and schizophrenia
  • Provides consultation for and promotes collaboration with other VA groups as well as non-VA federal organizations that focus on mental health issues
  • Develops, tests and implements clinical reminders and informatics tools to facilitate quality care
  • Functions as a clearinghouse for information on advances in detection, treatment and organization of services for depression and schizophrenia
  • Monitors the literature for new findings and emerging trends in the mental health field
  • Provides technical consultation to investigators responding to research solicitations that are consistent with the Mental Health QUERI mission and strategic plan

The Clinical Coordinators function as the primary liaisons between Mental Health QUERI and clinicians in the field and apprise interested parties of relevant solicitations. The Clinical Coordinators also encourage responses to relevant solicitations, develop collaborations and help locate and recruit clinics and facilities to participate in projects.
