Catalog of University Presentations, 2007-2008. 42 pp. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) is the federal agency responsible for the collection and dissemination of the Nation's vital and health statistics. NCHS collects, analyzes, and disseminates a wide range of health data, conducts methodological research, and supports the development and enhancement of statistical programs in this country and around the world. The NCHS University Visitation Program, now in its 24th year, continues to foster communication between NCHS and the university community through a series of lectures and presentations by NCHS staff. These presentations cover the programs, surveys, activities, and data of NCHS; and they are appropriate for university classes, seminars, or special programs. The catalog (in Acrobat (tm) .PDF ) provides brief descriptions of the topics offered for the 2007-2008 academic year. Please let us know if you are interested in a particular health topic that does not appear in the catalog. If you are interested in arranging for a presentation or need more information about the program, please contact:
Dr.
Paul Beatty, Director NCHS will make every effort, within its resource constraints, to honor all requests for the 2007-2008 academic year.
