Directions to Hayfork area recreational facilities

These directions generally reference a Ranger Station as a starting point. If you have difficulty following them, or they are inaccurate, please let us know and we will try to make corrections.

• Big Slide campground -

• Forest Glen campground - Take Highway 3 south from Hayfork to Highway 36. Travel 12 miles west.

• Hell Gate campground - Take Highway 3 south from Hayfork to Highway 36. Travel 11 miles west.

• Little Rock picnic area -

• Philpot campground -

• Scotts Flat campground - Half mile off State Highway 36 (take Hell Gate turn off), to Forest Service road 1S25.

• Slide Creek campground -

• Shiell Gulch campground - From State Highway 3 in Hayfork, take County Road 302 (Wildwood Road) for 7 miles.
