Passport in Time (PIT)

PIT is a volunteer archaeology and historic preservation program. Visit the Forest Service PIT web site for more information.

Campground Hosting and Other Volunteer Opportunities

Each Ranger District and the Forest Supervisor's Office has its own volunteer program that may include campground hosting or other opportunities.

Forest-Wide

If you are interested in volunteering on the forest:

1. Contact the Ranger District for which you want to volunteer. View this list of offices for location, addresses and phone numbers.

2. If the Ranger District has volunteer positions available and you want to apply, you can print, complete and mail this volunteer form (56 kb, pdf).

Ninemile Ranger Station

If you are interested in volunteering specifically for the Ninemile Visitor Center, you can either use the method above or apply online via the government volunteer web site.
