Introduction

The Lolo National Forest has an active, diverse Lands and Realty program. Emphasis of the program includes special use authorizations, special use administration, land adjustments, boundary management, land status, and cost-share easements.

The Lolo Lands staff works closely with other forest resource specialists, forest engineers, land appraisers, other agencies, non-government cooperators, permit holders and the public.

Lands and Realty Management Brochure

View our brochure for more information on lands and realty management. This brochure is designed for back-to-back/duplex printing; the resulting printout should then be trifolded.

Special Uses

For general information on Special Uses, visit the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management web site for special uses information.

Visit "The Application Process" for specific information on how the process works and how to apply for a special use permit.

Boundary Management

The Lolo National Forest Boundary Management program supports efficient management and provides protection of National Forest System lands. It is an active program of land surveys which define and physically mark legal boundary lines and facilitates rights-of-way acquisition. We do this to provide and maintain legally defensible boundaries, for land managers and the public, to protect the interest and lands of the United States from encroachment and trespass.
