Fourteen miles of origninal historic tread lie on the Lolo National Forest. You can put your feet in the single-track tread where the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the Nez Perce Indians put theirs.

The Lolo National Historic Trail (NHT) is located along Highway 12 west of Lolo, Montana. The orange rectangle in the map below shows the area of the Lolo National Forest (NF) associated with the Lolo NHT.
