| Professor and Director of the Oregon Hearing Research Center, Oregon Health Sciences University, Department of Otolaryngology and Professor Emeritus, University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Nuttall will be responsible for overseeing multiple components of the project, "The role of nitric oxide in noise induced hair cell damage," and will collaborate with Dr. Tianying Ren on the project, "Early Detection of Hearing Damage Using Multiple Component Analysis of the Otoacoustic Emissions." Dr. Nuttall has over 25 years of research experience and has received numerous NIH funded grants and has been a continuous participant in NIH funded Program Projects. He is qualified to direct the proposed research effort, which is concerned with differential diagnosis of sensorineural hearing loss and with the role of nitric oxide in noise induced hearing loss. |
