The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has replaced  the U.S. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. All procurements are now done using NIACS codes instead of SIC codes. The U.S. Census Bureau controls the industry classification codes while the U.S. Small Business Administration controls the size standards for the classified industries.
