FEMA Teleregistration Center Closes On Thanksgiving Day

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) teleregistration center and helpline will be closed on Thursday, November 26, to observe the Thanksgiving holiday.

Disaster victims who need assistance and have not registered with FEMA are encouraged to do so now. It takes about 15 minutes to register by phone at: 1-800-462-9029. TTY service is available at 1-800-462-7585 for anyone who is hearing or speech impaired. The registration numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST), Monday through Friday.

If you have already registered with FEMA and have questions call the FEMA Disaster Information Helpline from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. (CST) Monday through Friday. You may access the toll-free Helpline at 1-800-525-0321. For the hearing- or speech-impaired, the TTY Helpline is 1-800-660-8005.
