The mission of the Alaska Court System is to provide an accessible and impartial forum for the just resolution of all cases that come before it, and to decide such cases in accordance with the law, expeditiously and with integrity.

The totem pole pictured here is "Eagle and the Giant Clam," one of two twelve and one-half foot, red cedar totems created by Lee Wallace, a Haida Alaskan Native from Ketchikan, and his Tlingit apprentice carver, Edwin De Witt. The totems are classic Haida style carvings of an Eagle and a Raven in full circular 360 degrees, and stand in front of the Anchorage Nesbett Courthouse.
