2009 Board of Directors General Election Candidates AnnouncedThe AAPA Elections Committee is pleased to announce the slate of candidates for the 2009 General Election for AAPA Board of Directors. On April 1, 2009 all AAPA fellow members who have paid their dues as of March 1 will be instructed how to vote electronically. Voting is an exclusive fellow member benefit. Your vote is your voice. A letter to the Presidential Transition OfficeThe Academy has sent a letter to the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Office offering its support in addressing the significant health care issues and challenges facing the country. Continuity of Care at Risk in Failing EconomyIn what has become a crippling economic situation, many Americans are saving money by foregoing medical care. A recent study by the Kaiser Family Foundation said that nearly half of those polled reported that someone in their family has cut back spending on prescription medicine or delayed or skipped needed medical care based on how much it would cost.
