Objectives: This program, targeting violent offenders, will prepare the population to lead pro-social lives upon release from custody. The overarching goal is the reduction of recidivism and of further violence on the part of the participants.

Procedures: In custody services will include traditional Life Skills instruction, academics, substance abuse, and computer literacy training, as well as, classes specific to the needs of violent offenders. Offenders will develop reentry and vocational plans. Post release activities will include assisted and self directed job searches, employment placement, and retention services, and participation in community restoration activities. One-on-one case management is essential to the program.

Outcomes/Results/Products: The program has designed a series of yearly outcome goals that include participation, completion, and employment related measures. A full evaluation of the program will be conducted by Dr. James Gilligan of the Harvard School of Medicine.
