Program Description
The Medical Informatics Training Program provides graduate
and medical students an opportunity to participate in on-going
medical informatics research under the tutelage of Lister Hill
Center mentors. Participants work directly with leading medical
informatics professionals, have access to on-site resources, and
gain an in depth perspective of Lister Hill Center programs.
Appointments may be held throughout the year. Training for
Graduate and Medical Students is intended to complement the
work students are completing at their home institutions.
Recipients may receive a stipend which varies depending on
research area and experience.
Eligibility and Application Procedures
Applicants should be enrolled in a graduate or medical
degree program from an accredited academic institution in an
appropriate discipline or expect to be enrolled by the time
of the appointment. The Medical Informatics Training Program
is an equal opportunity program. Selection for positions will
be based solely on merit, without discrimination for race,

research interests.
- Desired starting and ending dates, email address, postal

- Curriculum vitae including a list of publications
and awards or honors.
- Transcript for the most recently completed degree.
- Transcript for the current degree or program.
- Three letters of reference addressed to:

Program participants will be selected based on their
research accomplishments, scientific background and
experience, the ability to match an applicant's abilities
and background with research programs at the Lister Hill
Center, letters of recommendation, awards and honors,
and the availability of funds, programs, staff and facilities.
