CD New CD-ROM Product Available
Check out our newest product for educators! The CD-ROM includes original documents, teacher notes, suggested activities, and analysis worksheets. All free!

  • My Family History and Me is a workshop designed to introduce students to the use of primary source materials through family history research.

  • History Day workshops are available to teachers in schools throughout the Central Plains Region.

  • Teaching guides available for check-out, such as: Federal Census, Teaching with
    Documents, and Genealogical and
    Biographic Research.

  • Tours of the Central Plains Region archives stack area are available.

  • Teacher workshops, in-services, and training via partnerships with local universities and colleges are available upon request.

  • Teaching American History grant partnership opportunities. For more information on TAH grants visit the U.S. Department of Education web site.
Educational Trunks

The Central Plains Region also has two educational trunks available for classroom use. A World War II US Army footlocker and a U.S. Navy seabag provide artifacts for hands-on use by students. Included with the contents are teachers guides to aid in classroom instruction.
