KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- State, federal, local and voluntary agencies are working together to expedite assistance to families and individuals who sustained damage from the severe storms and flooding in Missouri from May 5-18.

Recovery services summary as of 7:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2007:

Residents who have already registered for assistance may call the 1-800 number to check on the progress of their application or with any questions.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
