Program to Improve Care for Veterans With Complex Comorbid Conditions, San Francisco VA Medical Center

mission || frequently asked questions

MISSION STATEMENT
The Health Services Research Enhancement Award Program (REAP) at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a VA HSR&D-funded initiative to increase Health Services Research capacity at the Medical Center by supporting research that will improve the quality of health care for veterans with complex comorbid conditions, as well as set standards for care for the general public.

REAP standards are attained with such things as functional research space, analytic laboratory staff, methodologic expertise in health economics and implementation science and includes partnerships with academic and other institutional affiliates. Through grant facilitation and management for REAP principal investigators, providing direct salary support to HSR Investigators for mentoring, and core methodological support, and providing outreach to foster HSR by principal investigators from under-represented specialties, our goals to serve veterans and the public come to fruition.
