Interagency Wildfire Management TeamThe Interagency Wildfire Management Team (IWMT) is a multi-agency team that meets to identify, discuss, and address issues pertaining to wildfire mitigation and management in the Los Alamos region. The emphasis of the team is to take hands-on action needed to protect human life, improve firefighting safety, improve firefighting access, protect property, and maintain forest health. The IWMT meets every other week and these meetings are open to the public. Contact Randy Balice for further information or to get on the distribution list for the meeting notes. |
