Rural Pace

The Rural PACE Technical Assistance Program is an initiative to assist rural health care providers in developing Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to serve rural communities. The goals of the program are to:

  • Develop strategies for successfully adapting PACE to rural communities
  • Identify health professional training needs to support PACE in rural communities
  • Provide education and technical assistance to rural providers interested in exploring rural PACE opportunities

The Rural PACE Technical Assistance Program is funded by the Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) and the Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr) Division of Medicine and Dentistry, Division of Nursing, Allied Geriatics and Rural Health Branch and the Quentin Burdick Program of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The contract to implement this project was awarded to the National PACE Association [www.npaonline.org] (NPA) and the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) [www.nrharural.org].
