Movie Filming in Cibola National Forest
ALBUQUERQUE (June 2, 2008)—The movie, “Project Angel" by T Salvation Productions LLC will be filming in the Juan Tabo Basin area of the Sandia Ranger District this week. Production equipment is being moved into place on June 2 and 3. Actually filming will occur on Wednesday, June 4.
In order to keep everyone safe, there will be some traffic delays on Monday and Tuesday on Forest Road 333 which leads into La Luz Trailhead and Juan Tabo Picnic Area. On Wednesday, the La Luz Trailhead and Juan Tabo Picnic Area will be closed to the public. Additional traffic delays could occur later in the week as equipment is moved out of the area.
Sandia District Ranger Cid Morgan states, “Forest Road 333 is quite a narrow and winding road and safety is a real concern. I know we may disappoint some of our visitors but we are doing our best to keep this closure to a minimum,” she added.
