The Research Library is open to the general public 9 a.m. - 4:30
p.m., Monday through Friday.
For security reasons, visitors are required to sign in and out
and show a valid identification, such as a driver's license. They
will have access to the library's book and journal collections,
the electronic databases and the electronic journal articles that
are available to Lab staff. However, visitors will not have access
to technical reports in print or microfiche, or electronic form.
What
about electronic access? The Library's catalog
is available to anyone, listing our holdings for both print and
electronic books, journals, patents, and unclassified reports. Most
databases and electronic journals listed on this web site are restricted
by license agreements to use by LANL staff only. Members
of the public may use these resources from within the Library building only.
What
if I send you my questions? We regret that we do not have the
resources to answer reference questions from the public received
via regular or electronic mail. We suggest you check with the public
or university libraries in your area for assistance.
What
about technical reports? The report collection is not accessible
to the public.
