The Academy has sent a letter to the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Office offering its support in addressing the significant health care issues and challenges facing the country. In it, President Cindy Lord and CEO Bill Leinweber state the principles of AAPA's reform agenda. You can read the letter by clicking here.
In what has become a crippling economic situation, many Americans are saving money by foregoing medical care. A recent study by the Kaiser Family Foundation said that nearly half of those polled reported that someone in their family has cut back spending on prescription medicine or delayed or skipped needed medical care based on how much it would cost.
