Get Rid of The Color Warning System

I believe it is time to abandon the Orwellian color system that alerts the American public to levels of immenent danger. It is clear that the only reason we have the system is to help create an environment of fear. It's time to get rid of this ridiculous system.

I don't need colors to tell me how afraid I should be. The whole system is ridiculous. What purpose does it serve aside from generating fear?

The color alert system does nothing but promote fear.  Nothing changes when the color goes from yellow to orange, and the fact that someone's actually getting paid to pick colors is just another silly government expense.  Cut back!

Agreed this system is a joke, the sooner we get rid of it the sooner future generations can laugh at it in history class.
