A total of 484 Public-Use airports reside within the FAA Central Region. A listing of airports in each Central Region State is provided as follows. Each listing includes links to to the individual airport's Master Record (5010).

  • Nebraska - 87 Public Use Airports

Airport Categories

Commercial Service Airports

Publicly owned airports that have at least 2,500 passenger boardings each year and that receive scheduled passenger services.

Primary Airports

A commercial service airport that have more the 10,000 passenger boardings each year. Primary airports are further defined by hub type:

Large Hub - A commercial service airport that has 1% or more of the total United States passenger boardings.

Medium Hub - A commercial service airport that has at least 0.25% but less than 1% of the total United States passenger boardings.

Small Hub - A commercial service airport that has at least 0.05% but less than 0.25% of the total United States passenger boardings.

Non-Hub Primary - A commercial service airport that has more than 10,000 passenger boardings but less that 0.05% of the total United States passenger boardings.

Non-Primary

A commercial Service airport that has more than 2,500 but less than 10,000 passenger boardings each year.

Reliever Airports

Those airports designated by the FAA to relieve congestion at Commercial Service airports.

General Aviation

All airports not designated as a commercial service or a reliever airport.
