AIRPORT PAVEMENT DESIGN
Flexible Pavement Design (MS Excel) Flexible Pavement Design Manual (PDF) (Updated 7/16/2002) Updated 10/31/2005
Rigid Pavement Design (MS Excel) Rigid Pavement Design Manual (PDF) (Updated 7/16/2002) Updated 4/30/2004
Layered Elastic Pavement Design Version 1.3 (ZIP) Layered elastic design software discussed in Chapter 7 of AC 150/5320-6, Airport Pavement Design and Evaluation. Software updated in June 2004 to include new commercial aircraft models and many general aviation aircraft. Updated 7/26/2004
FAARFIELD 1.203 (8/11//2008) FAARFIELD 1.203 replaced the previous version 1.1021 that accompanied Draft AC 150/5320-6E. The FAARFIELD program will become the new FAA standard for airfield pavement design upon final publication of AC 150/5320-6E. Pavement design in accordance with the AC requires the use of the FAARFIELD program.
COMFAA 2.0
(You will need to scroll down on linked page to view software and related guidance.)
COMFAA, as introduced in the AC 150/5335-5A, is capable of calculating Aircraft Classifications Numbers in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) procedure.
PAY REDUCTIONS FOR AIRPORT PAVEMENT PROJECTS
(AC 150/5370-10, Standards for Specifying Construction of Airports)
Asphaltic Concrete - Payment Adjustment for Densities and Air Voids, Item P-401 (MS Excel) The pay equations in this spreadsheet are consistent with Item P-401 as published in AC 150/5370-10C and -10B but are not valid for previous versions of P-401. Updated 2/4/2008
Asphaltic Concrete - Payment Adjustment for Densities and Air Voids, Item P-401SP (MS Excel) This spreadsheet is consistent with Item P-401SP as published in Engineering Brief #59A. Updated 3/30/2007
PCC Pavement - Payment Factor for Strength and Thickness, Item P-501 (MS Excel) The pay equations in this spreadsheet are valid for versions of Item P-501 published in AC 150/5370-10C, 10B, and Change 10 to -10A. Updated 2/4/2008
