| Abstract: | (CIT): This National Advisory Research Resources Council meeting will include presentations about research conducted at the National Primate Research Centers (NPRCs) and challenges and opportunities related to the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program. Four of the NPRC Directors will highlight the wide range of research, directed towards both infectious and noninfectious diseases, that is being conducted at their Centers. Representatives of the CTSA Consortium Oversight Committee comprised of the consortium's Principal Investigators will discuss the opportunities that have been gained through the CTSA program, as well as the organizational and financial challenges. The National Advisory Research Resources Council is comprised of 18 appointed members who serve for overlapping four-year terms. The membership includes leaders in scientific disciplines related to the activities of NCRR, as well as members of the general public who are leaders in fields of public and health policies, law, economics, and management.
