Overview

The focus of Atmospheric, Climate and Environmental Dynamics, EES-2, is research and development of technologies in atmospheric sciences, ground surface exchange processes, terrestrial ecology, and hydrology.

Our expertise lies in instrumentation deployment, measurement strategies, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.

Our unique qualifications lie in the combination of these skills and many of our instruments and resources in the investigation of problems that encompass the Earth's lifesustaining biosphere.

National security work, requiring an understanding of the physics of electromagnetic radiation propagation through the lower and upper atmospheres, is essential to the work of our group.

The interdisciplinary capabilities within our team ensures the quality of mission-relevant research for DOE, the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA), the Department of Homeland Security, and other agencies.

Comprehensive solutions that address the growing demand for integrated science-based assessments of environmental and national security problems are essential to our research and accomplishments.
