Customer Service

Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks strives to always provide the highest quality of care to the veterans of our nation who call the Ozarks home. We recognize there may be times when a patient or family member has an issue which requires our attention. Because the best time to let us know of any concern or question is at the time it happens — so we can resolve it as quickly as possible — we have established several programs to assist you.

Patient Advocate

Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks has a highly-skilled patient advocate who is eager to help you with your concern in a timely manner. The Patient Advocate —

  • serves as liaison between patients and the medical center
  • acts on the patient's behalf
  • helps patients understand their rights and responsibilities

Our patient advocate is located on the 1st floor of the main hospital building.

Patient Feedback Tools

We also have a number of feedback tools for you to provide information about the care and service you receive. Please take the time to participate in and use these feedback tools. Our goal is to provide compassionate, quality care in a timely manner.

Patient Comment Cards

Your feedback about the care and services you receive as an inpatient or outpatient at our medical center provides us an opportunity to make changes and improvements.  Comment cards are located throughout the medical center for you to express a concern, make a suggestion, or give a compliment.  You may deposit the card in any of the boxes located throughout the medical center or you may give the card to a staff member.

Survey of Healthcare Experience of Patients

After your visit, you may receive a confidential questionnaire in the mail asking you about your most recent outpatient or inpatient treatment at our medical center.

Please use the survey to let us know of any concerns, complaints, or questions you have about your care, so that we can resolve them. We also appreciate compliments about what we are doing right.

Heart of the VA Award

We like to recognize staff members who go above and beyond to help our veteran patients and beneficiaries.   If there is a member of our staff that you feel has been truly outstanding in service to either you or another veteran, please take a few moments to complete a Heart of the VA Award nomination card. They are located at the reception desks throughout the medical center.  Once completed, you may put these in the comment boxes or give to another staff member.  They are then forwarded to the supervisor of the one you have recognized.
