Background
Tiffany has been serving an ORISE educational appointment at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center since 2002. She earned a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Washington in 2000. Tiffany has technical expertise in fish husbandry; she maintains a zebrafish (Danio rerio) breeding colony in support of studies exploring the developmental toxicity of environmental contaminants in fish habitats.

Current Research
Tiffany is currently investigating the toxicological effects of pesticides and herbicides on the physiology and behavior of developing fish. Utilizing the zebrafish model, she is assisting in the screening of several pesticides for anatomical, behavioral, and developmental effects in larval fish. She is also investigating the sublethal effects of dissolved copper in the fish mechanosensory system (lateral line).
