The Oakland VARO provides benefit services for veterans residing in northern California.  A satellite office is located in Sacramento.  The Sacramento facility is located at 10365 Old Placerville Road, Sacramento, CA, 95827.  Interviews and walk-in services are available each weekday during the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  At the Sacramento facility, interviews and walk-in services are available Tuesday and Thursday only.

The jurisdiction includes all Northern California, except for Modoc, Lassen, Alpine and Mono counties, which are assigned to the Reno Regional Office.  All Loan Guaranty activities are under the jurisdiction of the Phoenix Regional Office.  Seven service organizations are collocated in the Federal Office building occupied by the regional office.  The office serves four medical centers located at Fresno, Livermore, Palo Alto, and San Francisco; two outpatient clinics located at Sacramento and San Jose; and a veteran center located at Marina.
