Preparedness Coordination Division

Overview

The Preparedness Coordination Division (PCD) develops and executes a field-based, all-hazards preparedness program to enhance the capacity of Federal, State, and local agencies, and the private sector, to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from threats, acts of terrorism, major events and other emergencies. This is done through regionally-based Federal Preparedness Coordinators, enhanced regional staff, and national-level programs for technical assistance, preparedness planning, capabilities assessments and requirements, and preparedness reporting.
