Position Overview

Institutional Issues and Management Review Process Lead - Serve as process leader for management review and extent of condition analyses of institutional issues: (1) lead the Institutional Management Review Board (IMRB) including design and management of the meetings and providing evaluations of and recommendations to the IMRB on assessment plans, institutional causal analyses, corrective action plans, and effectiveness evaluations, (2) coordinate and ensure the effective collective functioning of the management review board (MRB) process across the institution, including the integration of the MRB process with other institutional processes, (3) design and continuously improve the institutional system for determining extent of condition and collective significance of issues.

Key Position Requirements

Experience in an advisory, evaluation, analysis, or decision-making capacity regarding complex issues. Demonstrated ability to summarize performance data of varying complexity and causal analyses in order to identify systematic weaknesses, recommend plausible improvement actions, and inform senior management decisions. Demonstrated ability to develop recommendations and prepare reports or presentations for senior management. Proficiency in identifying or driving opportunities for improvement. Extensive experience working with DOE Orders and guidance, federal regulations, and industrial standards. Must demonstrate an ability to successfully complete tasks independently.

Must be able to lead a team. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of Laboratory managers, employees, DOE staff and management, and trending, analysis, and lessons-learned representatives from the Laboratory and the DOE complex. This position requires a Q access authorization.
