Summary
Serve as a member of the Information Resource Management Division - Document Control Services Group as a Document Control Coordinator deployed to the Chemistry and Metallurgy Research Replacement (CMRR) Project. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Lead Document Control and Records Management (DCRM) Specialist in the execution of document control in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines. Perform document control responsibilities in accordance with DOE, NNSA, and LANL policies and standards. These responsibilities include: distribution control of incoming and outgoing mail; perform data entry to index documents and/or records; preparation for scanning; scanning, responding to information requests; action tracking, maintain filing systems; and ensuring information is current, accurate, and available. Will work under minimal supervision.
Required Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of developing and in implementing document control and/or records management practices. Demonstrated experience performing document control and/or records management activities in a highly regulated environment. Demonstrated effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with varying levels of personnel, management, and internal and external customers. Experience working under the pressure of deadlines, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a busy work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Experience communicating policies, procedures, and compliance requirements within the scope of the position. Ability to work in a team environment. Experience interacting with managers and responding to special requests. Experience with the suite of Microsoft software (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access), and spreadsheet, and database software. Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and able to solve problems.
Desired Skills
Knowledge and understanding of LANL and DOE policies and procedures. Understanding of engineering change processes and associated documentation. Experience working in an NQA-1 environment. Working knowledge and experience with Laboratory operations and information management-related issues. Experience working in a nuclear facility. L clearance desired.
Education
Associate's Degree in Business Administration or other business-related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
