College Days: Things to Know

Observation

You are welcome to visit PCC at any time. However, we have designed special days for you to experience the excitement of College life first hand. Pick a date and come Catch the Spirit of PCC.

Activities

  • High school students grades 10—12 are welcome to stay in the residence halls and enjoy meals in the dining facilities. Grades 7—9 stay with their parents but can take part in all activities for $10 which includes a meal pass. If space is available, grade 9 may stay in residence hall.
  • Students should bring personal items, towels, and linens or sleeping bags.
  • The Campus House, conveniently located adjacent to the campus, is available to parents and sponsors bringing high school juniors and seniors who are staying in the residence halls.

    Discounts are available: Dorm Room

    • Bring 1 junior or senior, receive 25% discount
    • Bring 2 juniors or seniors, receive 50% discount
    • Bring 3 juniors or seniors, receive 75% discount
    • Bring 4 juniors or seniors, receive free lodging PLUS meals for 2 days for 2 sponsors or parents!
    • Bring additional high school students (grades 10-12), and additional sponsors will be accommodated as well. Call the Reservation Office for details.
    (Discounted Campus House rooms are on a space-available basis with advance reservations; discounts apply to one room for two nights unless otherwise noted.) To make Campus House reservations, sponsors/parents must call 1-800-443-7742. Mailing the registration form does not reserve a room at the Campus House.
  • Sponsors, parents, and family members (6th gr. and younger) may purchase a meal pass.Fun Food

    • Thanksgiving Meal Pass - $30 includes Wed. dinner, Thanksgiving brunch and dinner, and Fri. lunch. ($12 for those 3 yrs.–6th grade)
    • Spring Meal Pass - $20 includes Thurs. dinner, Fri. lunch and dinner. ($8 for those 3 yrs.—6th grade)
    • Breakfast - Campus House provides a continental breakfast for their guests. Breakfast tickets may also be purchased on campus.
    Sports Center Bowling
  • We provide a wholesome time of fun and recreation while acquainting you with PCC. We also teach Bible truths in chapel, classes, and residence hall prayer groups.
  • College Days guests in residence halls visit classes, chapel, Campus Church services, and special meetings and events designed especially for campus guests. Every College Days guest will be given a scheduled campus tour.
  • Sponsors/parents are encouraged to attend all events.

Attire

  • All guests are asked to abide by College dress guidelines while on campus.
  • Women: Modest knee-length dresses and skirts; culottes or full walking shorts for recreation—no slacks or jeans, please.
  • Men: Casual pants (Dockers, etc.) and collared sport shirts. No shorts, please.

Arrival/Departure

  • Guests should arrive 11 a.m.—4 p.m. CT
  • Those staying in the residence halls will not be admitted after 9 p.m. and should depart no earlier than 6:30 a.m., M–F, and 7:30 a.m. on Sat.
  • Maximum stay is 3 nights in residence hall ($5 for third night)

Computer LabRegistration

  • Registration forms (included in brochure) must be sent to our Reservation Office at least two weeks before date of visit.
  • Refunds are automatically given up to seven days prior to arrival date. PCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.
