Resource Record Cover Image Thumbnail - 2_floodadvisorymap.jpg In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, FEMA initiated a project to produce high-resolution maps that show flood impacts from the storm for portions of Harrison, Hancock, and Jackson Counties in Mississippi. The purpose of these maps were to provide local government and citizens with the best and most up to date information about coastal flood hazards to aide in the rebuilding process. These maps are referred to as "Katrina Recovery Maps."
