Responsibilities: Administer Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game Creel Survey for the Twentymile, Glacier and Carmen drainages.  Schedules will be determined by the number of volunteers.  Survey needs to be administered between noon and 10 pm every other day, starting in late June, through the weekend after Labor Day weekend (Sept 7).

Survey station is at the Twentymile River Boat Launch, located at MP 81 of the Seward Hwy, approximately nine miles south of the Girdwood Tesoro Station Mall.  A government vehicle will be available for use with appropriate training.  Survey takes approximately five minutes to complete.  The surveyor will approach boaters as they disembark from their fishing trip and ask them seven questions about what they caught, where it was caught, and their experience while using the river.

Reimbursements:  Housing at one of the district’s bunkhouses may be available for volunteers completing a fulltime equivalent work week.  Space to park an RV with electric hook-ups are also available for fulltime volunteers.  We will also provide $25 for subsistence each day you volunteer.
