Theoretical Division: Where Science Begins
The Theoretical Division has been an intellectual resource to the Los Alamos National Laboratory since 1943.
We provide creative scientific and technological solutions to challenges in national security and related problems of national and global importance. Staff in the division collaborate and partner with other national laboratories, universities, and scientific institutions in this country as well as internationally. These collaborations help attract the best scientific directions and accomplish programmatic goals to enhance the Laboratory's endeavors.
