Proof of Ownership or Occupancy
You or your representative must have proof of ownership and occupancy to show the inspector.
- Proof of ownership (any of the following)
- a deed
- tax records
- mortgage payment book
- copy of your dwelling's insurance policy for the address, showing you as the owner
- Ownership can be researched by the Inspector or applicant on public websites, for example a County property tax website.
- Proof of occupancy (any of the following)
- your driver's license address
- any first-class government mail sent to you within the last 3 months at that address
- recent utility bills in your name at that address
