Abstract:

This letter to the editor of The Journal of the American Medical Association briefly summarizes the findings of a survey of family medicine residency programs in the United States. It discusses the results of the survey which allowed the authors to assess the extent to which the training of future rural physicians was a priority of the programs. The letter provides the percentage of programs that are located in rural areas. It includes a table and references.
