Section 811(f)(3) of the PHS Act, as amended by the Nursing Education and Practice Improvement Act of 1998, provides for a “Special Consideration” to eligible entities that agree to expend the award to train advanced education nurses who will practice in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) designated under section 332 of the PHS Act. | |
