Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has been developing a forecasting process and made the decision to begin providing a partial listing of potential contract opportunities for products and services here at the Laboratory. You can obtain the listing of opportunities by clicking on the button at the top of the page.

As you may know, LANL is one of the largest multidisciplinary, multi-program laboratories in the world. Some of the programs the Laboratory is involved in include research in energy, nuclear safeguards and security, biomedical and computational science, environmental protection and remediation, and materials science.

The Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services at the Laboratory to meet programmatic needs and is dedicated to utilizing small businesses to help them achieve that goal. Due to LANL’s commitment to the business community, the Small Business Program Team has been working with the Laboratory’s Procurement Organization to develop tools to set aside procurements to small businesses whenever possible. Thus, always note the competition type on the following matrix to determine if a procurement has been set aside or is open to fair and reasonable competition.

Products and services the Laboratory procures includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Research & Development Studies
  • Facility Construction & Architectural/Engineering Services
  • Equipment - Maintenance & Repair
  • Support Services & Staff Augmentation
  • Mechanical/Electronic Fabrication
  • Commercial Products & Services
  • Environmental Restoration

Routine commercial, off-the-shelf products (i.e., paper, pens, computers, etc.) are purchased through our Just-In-Time (JIT) subcontracts.

We hope this list of forecasted opportunities will assist you in identifying new opportunities as early as possible in the procurement process. However, please be aware that these opportunities may be subject to major revisions or even cancellations. You as businesses must use your own judgment to determine the market at LANL for the goods and services described.

If you have any questions or comments, we encourage you to send them to business@lanl.gov. Meanwhile, we hope you find this list of opportunities useful and we wish you well in your endeavors.
