Electronic Records Archives (ERA)

ERA Welcome Message

Welcome to the Electronic Records Archives (ERA) web site. Whether you are a researcher interested in NARA's holdings, a federal employee who produces records that might be stored in ERA, or a NARA staff member interested in the most recent progress made in this strategic initiative, we hope you will find the information on this site valuable to you.

The goal of ERA is to enable NARA to preserve and provide access to electronic records created anywhere in the U.S. Federal Government. ERA will provide a comprehensive, systematic, and dynamic means of preserving and providing continuing access to authentic electronic records over time, enabling NARA to carry out its mission into the future.
