Tips for Reading the GMT Income Threshold Table

A word of caution: Due to the size of the table it is difficult to use and read. Once in, you may want to increase the size so you can read it more easily. You will need Acrobat Reader version 6 or later.

Here are some helpful hints on how to get to your state and county:

• Click on the field glasses on the tool bar to do a search
• When you click on the field glasses a box will appear on the right side of your screen called “Search PDF.”
• There is an empty box with these words on top of it, “What word or phrase would you like to search for?”
• Type the two letter abbreviation for your state in this block
• Check the box below called “Whole word only”
• Click the search button
• The “Search PDF” box will appear with the results of your search.
• Half way down there is a box with the word “Results” above it.
• Look in the “Results” box and highlight the first listing that has county before your state abbreviation
• Highlight and then double click on this listing
• This will take you to the beginning of your state’s listing
• Scroll until you find your county

Once you have found your state and county, go to the columns to the right titled Veteran Only and Veterans plus number of dependents.

Find the column that fits your situation. The dollar amount listed in that column for your county is your GMT threshold.

Warning. If you decide to print your data, be careful to select the page you want in your print command. The GMT threshold table is very long, and you don’t want to print all of it.
