HealthCare

On  one of the Sunday talk show yesterday ( January 11, 2009) President- Elect Obama indicated that some of his campaign promises might be delayed. Since he indicated during the campaign that healthcare access for all citizens is a right,  I hope that  a new national affordable  healthcare strategy is not delayed

There is no economic reason, whatsoever, to delay implementation of health care reform since, if done properly (i.e. Medicare for all U.S. Citizens) it will save money, not cost  more.  A win/win for the economic recovery and health care reform.

This is one promise that should not be delayed. While yes, the economy is bad, people are dying as a result of sub par and no health care. If this is put on the "back burner", the deaths and permanent conditions caused by the delay will be blood on your administrations hands. But, I guess as long as businesses are getting new tax breaks, it doesn't matter. Please reconsider any delay!!

This is the test issure for Mr. Obama. If he breaks his word on this, then we know that his election is just another case of a lot of people fooled one more time.

I hope he continues to remember his mother's plight. I remember his pledge to prevent this from happening to other children's mothers. To talk about so significant an event in his life ina campaign to be elected and to 'forget it' once elected would be a disgrace.
I hope and pray Mr. Obama is not just another politician.

IS CHANGE.GOV A DECEPTION?

Why has Obama been ignoring the demand of his supporters for a single payer health care system?  Does he have political debts to the insurance companies, HMOs, and pharmaceutical corporations? Government officials don’t worry about “affordable” health care, they get it for free.  We should take health insurance off the backs of employers and have a generalized Medicare system for all citizens and resident aliens.  Are we who participate in this exercise being had?
