Projects and Plans
RFA is an analysis process, used nationally, to assist Forests in creating a sustainable program that aligns recreation sites with visitors' desires, expectations, and use.
In 2008, a new national planning rule was developed that encouraged increased public participation in developing plans that adapt more nimbly to change. The current plan will be revised in accordance with this new planning rule.
On November 2, 2005, the Forest Service announced final travel management regulations governing OHVs and other motor vehicle use on national forests and grasslands. Under the new rules, forests that do not restrict OHV travel to "designated roads-and-trails" must do so.
Published documents and notices for the Coconino National Forest including Environmental Assessments, Decision Notices, Findings of No Significant Impact, Draft and Final Enviromental Impact Statements, and Records of Decision.
