Dr. Roscoe Brady is chief of the Developmental and Metabolic Neurology Branch of NINDS.
Dr. Brady earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School, and interned at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He stayed on there as a fellow in the Departments of Physiological Chemistry and Medicine.
He later joined NIH as chief of the Section on Lipid Chemistry of the Neurology Institute. He has stayed with that institute ever since, serving as assistant chief of the Laboratory of Neurochemistry for 5 years, and holding his present position since 1972.
Dr. Schiffmann did a pediatric residency at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, and trained in adult and pediatric neurology at Boston City Hospital and New England Medical Center Hospitals. For 3 years he was a staff pediatric neurologist at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
Dr. Schiffmann came to NIH in 1991 as a visiting associate
with NINDS. In 1994, he became a senior staff fellow in that institute's
Developmental and Metabolic Neurology Branch. Since 1996 he has
been acting chief of the Clinical Investigations and Therapeutics
Section of that branch.
